Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism Gain Insights into the Current Status of the Co-operatives and MSMEs

MSMEs Development PS Susan Mange'ni alongside, Cooperatives PS ,Patrick Kilemi  accompanied the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperative and MSMEs for the Induction Retreat for the Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism held in Mombasa. 

The Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism plays a pivotal role in reviewing legislation and policies related to these sectors. The recent induction retreat provided a platform for committee members to familiarize themselves with their mandate and prioritize key bills aligned with the government's  agenda.

The induction offered an opportunity for members to gain insights into the current status of the cooperatives and MSMEs as well as an overview of the flagship projects aligned with the Bottom up Economic Transformation Agenda with a focus on legislation designed to enhance transparency and  governance in the sector.
