PS Susan Mang’eni visits NYOTA Project Business Training in Mbeere North Constituency, Embu County

MSMEs have the power to close Kenya’s annual deficit of 800,000 jobs, and through the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project, State Department MSMEs Development is  empowering young people to start and grow enterprises that will, in turn, create employment for others.

The Principal Secretary joined the closure of the NYOTA Project Business Training for Mbeere North Constituency at St. Peter Ishiara Primary School where total of 174 trainees from Evurore, Muminji, and Nthawa Wards.

The completion of the classroom training phase now ushers in the next milestone; the disbursement of the first tranche of the KSh 50,000 NYOTA Project Business Grant.

This will be followed by three days of practical, hands-on training, during which the entrepreneurs will be linked to the local business ecosystem to understand real opportunities available within Mbeere North and the wider Embu County.
