High-Level Engagement on MSME Capacity Building Under Component 2 of the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation Project (KJET)

Principal Secretary Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreses Development hosted a delegation from the World Bank, led by Dr Ahmed Rostom, the Task Team Leader for the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation Project (KJET), who are in the country to assess the progress of the project.

Their discussions centred on the ongoing KJET Cohort 1 Business Development Services (BDS) classroom training, which is equipping selected MSME clusters with practical, hands-on business development skills. These trainings are designed to enhance enterprise performance, boost productivity, and build long-term competitiveness across our MSME ecosystem.

Component 2 of the KJET Project remains a critical driver of MSME growth, focusing on strengthening the productivity and expansion of MSME clusters operating within the priority value chains identified under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
