Dr Chris Kiptoo (The National Treasury and Economic Planning) meeting the taskforce on establishing the Kenya Credit Guarantee Company. The Company aims to boost credit access for MSMEs, crucial as the MSME sector contributes about 34% of GDP &empowers about 15M people

The Financing gap for MSMEs is staggering, with banks only lending 783B out of a trillion. Once operational, the Kenya Credit Guarantee Company will provide credit guarantees, mitigating risk for lenders & encouraging SME lending, vital for the majority of businesses in Kenya.
