PS Susan Mang'eni was at Uasin Gishu county. She paid a courtesy call to the office of the Governor of Uasin Gishu ahead of their race to 15 billion trees. As the home of champions they looked forward to breaking the record in the race towards the goal with their target being 1 million trees across the county.

In one of the   planting site in Timboroa forest, Kamur wetlands, they managed to restore 45 acres of the wetlands with indigenous trees and more than 20 acres with exotic trees. By the end of the exercise they had planted more than 1.3M trees across the county .

Principal Secretary MSMEs thanked Gov. Bii, Senator Mandago, C.C Dr. Nyale and MPs who championed the exercise in their respective constituencies as well as the institutions and  companies who donated seedlings and  labour. She also thanked the residents of Timboroa  who braved  harsh weather to join in the exercise we say thank you .

Indeed Championship is in the blood of the residents of Uasin Gishu. They had set a target of 1M but surpassed it. The race to 15B just got real with counties  putting in their best efforts to achieve their target.
