Principal secretary at the annual gender in manufacturing forum

The first Gender in Manufacturing Forum took place in Nairobi, hosted by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) in partnership with IDH Kenya. The event aimed to promote gender-positive actions in the Textile and Apparel Sector. Susan Mang'eni, the Principal Secretary of the State Department of MSME Development, who was among the speakers emphasized the importance of empowering women in the grassroots by enhancing their economic capacity through digitization. She highlighted the need to leverage the entire value chain, from farming to fashion, in the Textile and Apparel Sector.
