PS, State Department for MSMEs today visited Daljeet Wirk Food Processors in Nambale, Busia County — a promising agro-processing initiative making significant strides in sunflower oil production and agribusiness innovation.
Together with Dr. Christoph Zipfel (GIZ), county leaders, and other key stakeholders, the team engaged on ways to strengthen value addition and support small enterprises under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) — the Government’s inclusive model focused on promoting MSMEs, enhancing local production, and driving grassroots economic growth.
Daljeet Wirk Food Processors is a good example of how integrated approaches — combining processing with small-scale farming — can boost food security, create jobs, and build a resilient local economy.
