Kenya National Federation of Juakali Association receives their MSEA Registration certificate

During the launch of the countrywide registration of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Kenya, Simon Chelugui, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperative, Micro Small Medium Enterprises in the presence of PS Micro Small Medium Enterprise , Susan Mangeni announced that the registration process will be overseen by the Micro Small Enterprises Authority. This authority is responsible for registering MSE Associations and umbrella organizations in accordance with the MSMEs Act of 2012.

Chelugui stated that the government will provide support for the registration of MSEs, enabling them to access various government interventions such as the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO), business financing, common user facilities, and machinery. He also highlighted the timely nature of the launch, coinciding with the upcoming launch of the third product of the Hustler fund for group loans.

The Cabinet Secretary urged all unregistered small businesses in Kenya to register through the Registrar of MSEs' online platform registrar.msea.go.ke. This registration would enable them to benefit from the various advantages and interventions offered by the government
