Ps Susan Mangeni presided over the inauguration of a state-of-the-art training facility and the launch of a new cohort accelerator program by the E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center in Nairobi. The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to support impact-driven startups and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across the country and continent.
E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center plays a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting impact-driven startups and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The center's new state-of-the-art facilities are set to provide entrepreneurs with advanced resources, fostering innovation and growth within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During the event, Ps Susan Mangeni urged participants to take advantage of key government initiatives such as the Hustler Fund. She emphasized that the fund plays a vital role in empowering individuals at the bottom of the economic pyramid by providing access to affordable credit. Over 2 million beneficiaries of the Hustler Fund have so far demonstrated high credit ratings, positioning them for integration into the mainstream financial market. This achievement aligns with the fund's mission to rehabilitate and repair credit, ultimately growing the financial capability of underserved communities.
Ps Susan Mange'ni also announced that a new product dedicated to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector will be launched later this month. This new initiative will further strengthen the government's efforts to support and empower the MSME sector, which is a critical driver of economic growth and job creation in Kenya.
The event was attended by H.E. Roberto Natali, Italian Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Giovanni Grandi, Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), Prof. Mario Molteni, CEO of the E4Impact Foundation, among other key delegates.
