7th East Africa Community Secretary General’s Forum
The Principal Secretary was honored to be part of the 7th East Africa Community Secretary General’s Forum that bring together the private sector, Civil society and other key stakeholders from across the EAC region to advance the Community’s regional integration agenda.
The forum is coming alive again in Nairobi after six-year hiatus, having been held last in 2018.
This year’s forum focuses on conversations around strengthening regional integration, addressing cross-border challenges including cross-border trade and mobility of people, as well as fostering sustainable development.
We in the MSMEs sector, acknowledge and greatly associate with the progress made towards deepening economic integration in the region.
The just concluded 24th EAC MSMEs Trade fair in Juba South Sudan that successfully featured over 4000 MSMEs from across the 8 countries within the region points to the enormous opportunity we have in the region and the potential market the region holds for its member states.
As Kenya plans to host next year’s Trade Fair, we look forward to take it a notch higher by showcasing the industrial potential from our unique regional value chains.
The Head of Public Service Mr. Felix Kosgei graced the occasion alongside the EAC Secretary General Hon. Veronica
